Our Purpose The purpose of the fund is to provide academic scholarships to students graduating from Ygnacio Valley to assist with college expenses. Scholarships are funded by investment income only. Donations and funds raised are used to provide investment income such that they will live on in perpetuity. Santa Clara St. San Jose, CA 95116 Contact: Greg Smith (408) 947-2200 Fund Raising The primary source of revenue for the fund is the Annual Golf Tournament and Evening Mixer held at Boundary Oaks Golf Course ( www.boundaryoak.com ) and Blakes Restaurant located upstairs in the Boundary Oaks clubhouse. We have joined forces with Northgate’s Alumni Scholarship Fund for this event. The tournament is a great way to hook up for a fun day of golf with over 100 of your old friends from high school (see Players List to see who you might run into). We have great tee prizes donated by our corporate sponsors for all tournament players. Additionally, we have prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, first, second, and third place. The Hole-in- One prize is a new Volvo! There are lots of games to participate in as you go around the course too. Following the shotgun tournament, we move upstairs for a nice dinner, cocktails, and auction. A lot of additional people join us at this stage, as not everyone plays golf. There are lots of silent auction prizes to bid on and a live auction of approximately ten really nice things including condos in Hawaii, sports memorabilia and tickets, vacation homes in Tahoe, and other exciting items.
